Meet Michael

As a fourth-generation sugar cane farmer, Michael understands better than most the pressures of farm management, profitability, compliance, expansion and future proofing the family business.

Just growing cane isn’t enough nowadays, running a successful family business is key to financial success and longevity in the agricultural sector.  The expansion undertaken by the family over the last 4 years identified areas that required growth and upskilling to ensure the results and expectations by all stakeholders was being met.

With this experience and developed farm management tools, advising and supporting growers to expand their operations to improve efficiencies, take on new opportunities and build resilience in an otherwise volatile profession are now central to Michael’s focus.  Always looking to improve the outcomes of sugar cane farming, Michael has participated in 2015 Project Catalyst, served on the Rabo Client Council 2017 – current, served on the board of H.C.P.S.L. 2018 – 2019 and continues to embrace data and technology to improve farming outcomes.
